    Bar

    The Sun Inn is a free house and in the bar we stock a good range of alcoholic and soft drinks to suit all tastes.

    We have a rolling programme of guest real ales, often from local Cumbrian breweries. Please phone if you would like to know what’s on at present.

    In addition, we stock draught Madri, Praha and Carling lagers, Guinness and Worthington keg beers, draught and bottled ciders.

    We also have a wide selection of wines available by the glass (variety of measures) or bottle.

    If you prefer spirits or something a little different, we have the usual range of whiskies, gin, vodka, rum, and more exotic 'mix' drinks, including our new cocktails machine!

    We also have a TV with Sky, and often have major sports events showing.

    There is a pleasant riverside beer garden for the summer months - please note that young children need to be closely supervised as there is direct access to the river.

    Restaurant

    We serve a range of food, either in the restaurant or in the bar area, from tasty snacks to three-course meals. Our menus change regularly according to season and availability of local produce, which we try to make use of as much as possible.

    When possible, we also have a Specials Board and a separate Dessert Board, which change according to seasonal availability of ingredients.

    We also host special gourmet evenings from time to time, sometimes with guest chefs, and accompanied by matched wines.

    Field to Fork Catering

    We have recently added our new Catering Trailer to our team. We have so far taken it to Agricultural shows, Weddings and Private parties. This is more than just a burger van - we offer a wide variety of high quality food that will suit your needs. 

    The Trailer is available for any type of event and we are able to travel to your venue or event. If you would like more information or are interested in hiring our food trailer please get in touch and ask to speak to Adam.
